Machine wash cold with similar colors; the woven stripes do not peel, and cold washes keep the washed tones even. Tumble dry low or hang to dry; it dries fast in the sun. Iron on medium if desired.

FAQWhat is a Turkish towel or peshtemal?
A peshtemal, often called a Turkish towel, is a flat-woven cotton cloth from the Turkish hammam tradition. With no terry loops it is thinner and lighter than a regular towel, dries faster and folds flat, so it works for the bath, the beach and travel.
Is a peshtemal absorbent?Yes. The 100% Turkish cotton takes up water well when you dry off after a bath, a swim or the hammam. It looks thinner than terry, but it dries much faster between uses.
What does the block stripe look like?The stripes are broad bands of soft washed color rather than thin lines, woven in across the cloth on a lightly crinkled surface. Choose Blue, Green, Black, Red or Brown Striped.
Will the stripes fade or peel?The stripes are woven in with dyed yarn, not printed, so they do not peel or crack. Wash cold with similar colors to keep the washed tones even over time.
What else can I use it for besides drying off?It doubles as a beach or pool towel, a light scarf or shawl, a picnic cloth, a kitchen cloth and a travel throw. The flat weave packs small and shakes free of sand.
